Once again we saddled up for the run north to Brooklyn for a ferry run over to Patonga for a fish and chip lunch. As usual Ian had words with the one above and the weather was fantastic. This being the maiden voyage of the refurbished ferry everything was looking good.
The day started with the group of 33 people departing Mittagong on time. This is the biggest group on a run for the year so far. The run up the freeway was uneventful. After the morning tea stop at Thornleigh the group headed to Brooklyn. A couple of people got lost on the way but what's a Wolly run without someone not making the destination.
After the official christening of the ferry we boarded for the trip to Patonga. Being a very popular place for fish and chips, additional staff were brought in to cope with the ordering line stretching out the door and down the foot path.
Once the food was purchased it was back on the ferry for a leisurely cruise along the Hawksbury River. The weather being so good everyone was lapping the sun up which later resulted in fatigue people deciding the head home down the freeway.
Thanks again Ian for another great day on the ferry.
